Cold Email Lead Generation
The first skill I recommend you learn during lockdown is cold email lead generation. Now, of course, there are many other forms of lead generation from LinkedIn or Cold Calling, but I find cold email extremely useful because you’re not reliant on another platform. Anyone can send an email to another email address without permission, making it a skill that will stand the test of time. Additionally, most decision-makers at any company have a company email which is relatively easy to find online. This makes cold email one of the strongest cold email lead generation outreach methods to learn now.
Sales Skills and Closing Skills
The next skill is your sales skills and your ability to close. No matter what type of seller you are, learning how to close is essential. If you can’t get the customer to sign a contract and buy your product and service, you aren’t selling anything! Skills that would fall under sales skills would be learning how to listen and be empathetic, pitching, identifying pain, and offering solutions in a non-salesy way.
Public Speaking and Presentation Skills
The final skill I recommend you learn during lockdown is public speaking and presentation skills. This is a bit different from sales skills as when you’re doing any public speaking. You’re speaking at the audience, not necceasirly having a two-way dialogue. You should be comfortable speaking in small and large groups of people and being able to do this online via video chat or Zoom meeting.
