When you’re cold calling, even if you’re the salesperson doing sales prospecting, in B2B sales, it’s the salesperson’s job to control the conversation and help the buyer make a purchasing decision. This is why you must have a solid cold calling script and generally need to understand how your cold call script will flow to guide the prospect into the next step.
A powerful cold calling strategy is to get mini agreements throughout your cold call. In B2B sales, you want to take it one step at a time and get the prospect to agree without throughout the sales conversation.
On your cold call, before you start pitching, you’ll first need to ask permission.
